Start by choosing your age group, scoring column, and duty standard. Then slide each event to estimate a score quickly, or type your exact raw result when you already know your test performance.
Choose General or Combat so the calculator checks the correct total score requirement while still enforcing the event minimum.
Use sliders for fast estimates and input boxes for exact weights, reps, and run times. Time events use the `min:sec` format.
The tool shows points for each event, total score out of 500, and whether any event falls below the 60-point minimum.
How scoring works
This Army PT calculator uses the current five-event AFT format and scores each result against the selected age group and scoring column. Each event can earn up to 100 points, for a maximum score of 500.
The General standard requires at least 300 total points and at least 60 points in every scored event. A strong total score does not override a failed event minimum.
The Combat standard raises the total requirement to 350 points while keeping the same 60-point event minimum. Select Combat in the calculator to check that threshold.
AFT events
The current AFT removed the Standing Power Throw from the scored test and keeps five events focused on strength, muscular endurance, anaerobic capacity, core endurance, and aerobic endurance.
Lift the maximum weight possible three times using a hex bar. This event measures lower-body and trunk strength.
Complete as many correct hand-release push-ups as possible in two minutes. This event measures upper-body endurance.
Complete five 50-meter shuttles involving sprinting, dragging, lateral movement, carrying, and sprinting again.
Hold a proper plank position for as long as possible. This event measures core strength and endurance.
Run two miles on a measured, generally flat course. This event measures aerobic endurance.
Current vs legacy
Many people still search for ACFT scoring because the ACFT was the previous six-event Army Combat Fitness Test. For current Army PT scoring, use the AFT calculator on this page. For historical or legacy ACFT score checks, use the dedicated ACFT calculator.
Scoring data is based on Army-published AFT and legacy ACFT score tables. This site is independent and is not affiliated with the U.S. Army.
